Rainbows for Batam February 2017

It’s that time of the year when most of us are still trying to get into the rhythm of things and catch up with all that we say we’re going to catch up on.

I’m still trying to keep up with posting on this blog (but if you’ve not followed me on instagram at @thetudungtraveller, you probably should because that’s a near daily update) and I’ve got way too many pictures and stories than I have been writing.

BUT it’s that time of the year again when I announce another Rainbows for Batam project!

The RainbowsforBatam February 2017 team will be spending time at Panti Asuhan Riyadhus Shalihin, with the intention to build relationships with the children and guardians, to learn from the beautiful soul and to share the few things that we know and have with them.

Besides our usual hands-on activities with the children consisting of colouring, art&crafts, ball games and henna painting, we will be exploring new activities such as jewellery-making and cookie decoration. We will also be building a mini-library for the children.

The details for the trip are as follows:
Date/Day: 12 February 2017, Sunday
Fee: $100

The fee includes a return ferry ticket, breakfast and lunch, local transportation in Batam, donations to the children home, administrative fees, and project materials. Personal expenses, dinner and insurance are not included.

Please note that this trip is open only for participants aged 18-35 years old. Registration will close on 1 February 2017 or when all slots are taken up, whichever is earlier! Please note that confirmation of participation is only upon full payment, and any participation withdrawal within a week of departure is liable to a penalty of 50% of the fee.

Please fill in the following form to register: REGISTRATION CLOSED

Update: All slots have been filled up! All registrations henceforth will be on the waiting list, and will take up the places of earlier registrants who drop out or do not make payment within 48hours. ☺️

I’ll be posting more photos from the previous trips soon!

Lots of love & hugs,
Atikah Amalina
