287. Irish Countryside & Comcomroe Abbey, Ireland

The Irish countryside is stunning.

Throughout the drive, I got so fascinated by the stone walls erected along the landscape – apparently used to demarcate land ownership, according to my guide. I kept wandering how it’ll look like from an aerial viewpoint. Can you imagine workers painstakingly arranging the stones?

Can you spot the alpacas?! 😀

The tour made a quick stop at an abbey, a 13th-century Cistercian monastery, which didn’t really get me too excited, except for its stone architecture and the surrounding view. (I have weird fascinations, I’ve realised)

Throughout the drive, I quickly realised how stony the Irish countryside landscape is… So you can probably imagine my surprise when we finally got to the Cliffs of Moher! Will be back with my story from Cliffs of Moher soon! Now, that place holds a story.

Lots of love,
