229. Have I done enough?

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” — Nelson Mandela

On 5 December 2013, the world lost a great man. A man who has endured much suffering throughout his life, yet stood up steadily for what he believed in. Once thought of as a terrorist and as an enemy to many states, he is now remembered fondly and honorably as a man who has made a difference.

He has made a difference, and the world remembers.

It made me think of my own mortality and humanity – how will people react at the news of my departure?

Have I done enough?

Have we?
