166. Share the joy

Alhamdulillah, I am very pleased to announce the details for the upcoming trip!

Date: 31 August 2013
Time: 8am – 7pm
Venues: Panti Asuhan Nujumal Huda & Panti Asuhan Nahdathul Islam

We will be heading to PA Nujumul Huda (remember ibu Sinar?) for brunch and Eid celebration with the children, then PA Nahdathul Islam for tea and a short visit. We are expecting to take the 8.30am ferry to Batam and then the 7pm (Batam time) ferry back for those who don’t intend to stay the night.

Plus, for all of you Malay novels buffs, I have exciting news for you! A renowned Malay novelist will be joining us, inshaAllah! The author of books such Cinta Pertama, Dendam yang Terlerai, Nota Cinta Buatmu and Cinta Jangan Kau Pergi, Norhayati Berahim, will be joining us! I am personally BEYOND excited because I am a huge fan of hers!! I have been reading her novels since I was 10 (I’ve to thank her for my creative writing skills and all those karangan(s) I used to write and get prizes for!) and this opportunity to meet her is an absolute dream! So don’t miss this chance if you’re a fan too!

So anyway, before I digress further, here’s the deal:

  • If you are interested to come along on the 31st, send me an email at atikahamalina@gmail.com with your full name, passport details (number & expiry date) and birthdate by Wednesday, 12pm. I will need to confirm the numbers by then in order to book transport/drivers for our time there. Once I’ve received your email, I will give a confirmation reply and email you further details about the trip.
  • If you are interested to be a part of this but are unable to be there physically (i.e. you wish to make donations, be it monetary, clothes etc), drop me an email too. I’m sure we’ll be able to make the necessary arrangements.

I am looking forward to all your emails! This is going to be so amazing, inshaAllah! (:

  1. Love this kind of prog! I’m still toying the idea of bringing Insyirah along so that abg hafiz takes care of the other one at home. Can be quite tough for him to manage two kids. But what do you think if I bring Insyirah along, do you think its workable?

    • Noorashekeen, we have children coming with us on this trip, and this is not their first time going to the orphanage. The youngest girl is only 3 yrs. It will be good if you can bring your girl too. No worries, so many people will help around.
